Oxford Energy Associates: associates

Oxford Energy Associates works with a range of other independent consultants, each of whom is a recognised expert with at least 10 years of experience in the respective fields. This arrangement allows clients to combine the cost-effectiveness of working with independent consultants, with the ability to draw on a wide range of expertise across the whole spectrum of energy and environmental issues.

For larger projects, Oxford Energy Associates can put together a project team from amongst these associates, or alternatively clients may wish to engage consultants directly - their contact details are provided below.


Will Blyth
William Blyth has worked for over 15 years in the field of modelling and analysis of energy security and climate change policy. He is Director of Oxford Energy Associates, an Associate Fellow of Chatham House, and Visiting Research Fellow at London Business School. His work focuses on the role of policy on investment decision-making and risk, and how to deliver secure energy supplies within a context of transition to a low-carbon economy.

Ken Fletcher
With over 25 years' experience in industrial energy use, energy efficiency, CHP, process control, energy modelling, and energy policy design, Ken is one of the UK's leading experts in the field of energy and climate change policy. Ken has worked with all the main UK institutional players in climate policy, and also has considerable experience of working with companies, having previously run his own process control business. Ken now works independently.

Peter Wooders
Peter has worked in the energy and climate policy field for over 15 years, having worked for some of Europe's largest energy companies and energy / environmental consultancies. Peter now works independently, and has built considerable expertise in developing models, running simulations, and policy design work, particularly in the industrial and power sectors.

Paul MacDonald
Paul works with a wide range of UK companies advising them on implementation of climate change policy. With over 15 years' experience working with companies, Paul has extensive knowledge of the practicalities of industrial energy consumption, and how companies respond to policy. Paul has worked independently for over 5 years.

Simon Collings
Simon specialises in travel behaviour and fleet management as well as environmental assessments of transport policies, programmes and measures. He has over 12 years of experience of working in the transport, energy and environmental fields. He has worked with both public and private sector organisations to help develop, implement and evaluate initiatives aimed at reducing the environmental and social impacts of road transport.
